The Bookshop was founded in 2022 with the goal to provide a personal touch to the book buying experience. I want to share my love of books - both new and old -  with my friends, family, neighbors and community. Each book I sell is chosen specifically for YOU. 

The Bookshop is based in Monroe, NC. All of the books listed on our website are inventoried locally which makes our shipping and delivery quick and easy!

About the Owner, Kellie Streater
I live in Monroe, NC with my husband Matthew and our two precious rescue dogs, Lucy and Charlie. I graduated from Wingate University in 2010 and have since worked in the Marketing and Product Development industry. 

I love to travel and always try to find a local bookstore to visit in whatever state or country I'm in. I love trying new foods, baking  and I occasionally try my hand at painting.

My love for books:  

My mom has told me since I was little that “books are our friends” and I’ve taken that to heart. As I’ve gotten older I love sharing books with my Nana who is the most active reader I know! I love to talk about books with just about anyone.
